Chapter 554 553: Defenders League??

The whiteness disappeared almost as soon as it appeared.

But that brief appearance was enough to cleanse the zone of all things that a MR9s power could destroy. Although such things might have been destroyed long ago.

The beast was now gasping for breath as it had spent almost all its mana and stamina in that attack.

While they were called Galaxy-level, a Galaxy really was a bit too big. So they had to go all out to take care of it.

"Hehe. I'd like to see you survive that you bastard" It cursed after recovering a bit.

"Yeah, I'll admit that you caught me off guard that time. Hell, it even cost me an arm. For that I commend you. It has been a while since I've been hurt like this" Muku's impressed voice was heard from behind the beast.

It turned around slowly in horror. And there he was. As he said, his hand was extremely injured by the attack.

All the flesh on his right arm up to the shoulder was gone revealing a clean skeleton.

But he didn't look like he was in pain or anything... Of course, that's because he had cut off sensory perception at the shoulder otherwise he would be screaming like a madman from pain no matter how tough he was.

"IMPOSSIBLE! How is that all the damage that has been done? You should be dead! Completely erased from existence! You're weaker than me so how can you survive my ultimate that had everything I have?!" The beast asked hysterically. It was clearly close to losing its mind due to not understanding the situation.

And the onlookers understood it. After all, if you gave someone who was supposedly weaker than you your all and they only lost an arm... anyone would go crazy. Especially with how he didn't seem bothered at all.

"Haha. Sorry, I forgot about that for a moment. Let me ease your worries before I send you on your way. It's a thank you for everything you've done for me. Especially giving me my first taste of hatred energy. That's some nasty stuff you have there. Even I had to use a bit of belief energy to properly resist it. And I still lost an arm. Sure that was mostly due to my negligence but still, great job! You have no idea how amazing what you just did is. Anyway, let me show you my true power..." Muku replied cheerfully then...

"IMPOSSIBLE! YOU YOU! YOU'RE A PR9?! HOW?! We already counted and know how many there should be. We know what they look like as well. You aren't one of them. Our spies said nothing about you! How do you exist?!" The beast went completely mad after Muku exposed his power.

He didn't make it explode out for dramatic effect. Instead, he made it rise slowly until it reached the peak. Seeing the horror slowly building up in his opponent was way better than just making it explode and shocking them instantly.

"Oh yeah. You still think I'm with the humans huh? Well, don't worry buddy. Your spies are probably correct. I'm from a new power. We have no connection to any of you. As far as we're concerned, at this point you're all invaders on our planet. And we're here to defend it from you all. You can call us Defenders... Defenders League?... cough, you know what, forget that. We still have no name. But you get the point right?" Muku replied casually again.

He tried to give his group a random name on the spot but instantly realised how trashy it was so he tried to change it, made it worse then gave up and backtracked shamelessly.

That was better than being made fun of by the girls later for they definitely would do that if he gave them a chance.

"Defenders league huh? Well, you won't succeed! If you think that just your tiny group is enough to be your own power then you're even more naive than I thought. Even if I die today, you definitely won't live much longer. Hahahaha" The beast replied with a crazy expression on its face and literally started laughing like a madman at the end.

"Hey hey! I said we don't have a name yet damn it! You know what? Forget this! I'll just kill you now and no one has to know about that terrible name. As for whether we'll succeed or not, unfortunately, you won't be there to... no wait. I just got the greatest idea" Muku replied then without a warning...

Countless blades appeared above them then shot down and sliced up the beast before it could react.

Well, it did try to react but its body was completely fixed in place by an unknown force and it couldn't move.

And so, it could only watch and scream as its arms and legs were cut off inch by inch until they were completely gone.

Yeah, Muku was pettily taking revenge even though it was his fault that he was hurt before.

"Kill me please!" The beast begged to be killed. It saw no reason why it was getting tortured. It did no such thing to him after all.

"I wanted to. But then I figured, why not keep you around so you can see us retaking the world? I mean, that sounds way more fun than dying now right?" Muku asked politely like a psycho.

After all, who else would say such things with a smile on their face?

"You beast! Ahhhhh!" The beast screamed as it got sent into the embryo where it was stripped of all its power and made no difference from an unranked beast... Just with its intelligence intact.

He even restored its legs and turned it into a yellow cat.

He was committed to seeing his plan through.

The girls just looked on with deadpan expressions. The ending was so anticlimactic. And did he just adopt a pet? Also, did that beast call him a beast with a straight face??

"Oh, you are all done? How was it? Was it fun?" Muku finally acknowledged the girls he had noticed a long time ago unlike the beast.

"Yeah, unlike you, we aren't sadistic or masochistic" Jade who came soon after Althea replied with an accompanying eye roll.

"Fair enough. If we're done here then let's go back" Muku spoke while looking at the doorway that had just appeared.

"Aren't you forgetting something?" Hope asked.

"Hmm? What could that possibly b... ahhhhhh!" Muku was confused as he asked then Jade shot a little beast aura his way.

It normally wasn't enough to do anything to him so he didn't even bother to block it or dodge. He was curious to see what she was trying to do. Then it landed on his injury and reactivated his pain receptors.

Of course, he screamed instantly.

"What? I was just reminding him. I'm not the one who did it" Jade defended herself with an innocent expression on her face when the other girls looked at her.

Hope immediately got into action and covered Muku's arm with her healing magic.

The pain immediately went away and it began regenerating flesh quickly. In less than thirty seconds it was completely fine.

It wasn't that R9s still couldn't heal on their own. But it would take maybe a full day to fully regenerate like that even for Muku. If he had lost the bone too it would have taken maybe a week or so.

This was because the energy that caused the injury was quite destructive. Even if it were cleared out, it would still take longer than normal to recover.

Hatred energy was quite corrosive after all. Hell, if it was purer and hit directly maybe auto healing would have been taken out of the equation altogether.

Which was why Hope was and will always be extremely useful as a healer. Though recently she has been more of a fighter than a healer with the others for obvious reasons.

The stronger they got, the rarer it became for them to get significantly injured.

"Thank you as always Hope. You can have this cat mince meat if you want" Muku spoke while pointing at the mince meat made from the limbs he cut off the beast.

"Ah. No. You can just go ahead and destroy that" Surprisingly Hope rejected good.

Oddly enough she was stealing glances at Jade as she did so.

"Huh? Why are you looking at m... HEY! Do you think of me as a cat or something?!" Jade was confused at first then she understood it.

She was extremely offended. How dare Hope think of her as being no different from a cat-type beast? Is that why she didn't want to eat the meat?

In response Hope looked away shyly... and she wasn't the only one.

"What?! Why are you all looking away? Do you think of me like that too? How dare you! If it's like that then isn't Emily a bird then?!" Jade exploded in rage.

"Hey! Don't bring me into this. What did I do? It's not like I have a bird form" Emily defended herself.

"Aha! So you do think of me like that you jerks!" Jade screamed again.

It took a lot of appeasement to calm her down after that...
