However, even though the Monster Cores didn’t directly benefit Jiang Chen, collecting them turned out to be beneficial. Remembering all the notifications he got after defeating each blood-colored monster and after doing some quick math, Jiang Chen realized he had gained 2,400 points of Villain Value, and at the same time, he had decreased Ye Fan’s Heavenly Fate Value by 1,200 points.
’My Villain Value now stands at 12,100 points!’ Jiang Chen reflected, ’With these points, I can get enough treasures to boost my power. However, given the current situation with Ye Fan, using pills would take too long. It would be smarter to use spiritual plants instead.’
’First, though, I should use the spiritual plants I already have,’ he considered, his gaze landing on a large collection of spiritual plants inside the Moondust Ring.
During his monster hunting adventures, Jiang Chen had always picked up spiritual plants he encountered along the way. He didn’t waste time on low-rank spiritual plants, but he couldn’t pass up the chance to collect those of the Spiritual Awakening rank, the Mysterious Platform rank, and the Heavenly Origin rank.
